GAIA-X – A federated data infrastructure for Europe
Gaia-X, which emerged from a Franco-German lead project, aims to pave the way for a European digital ecosystem. Stakeholders in the data economy are working together on proposals, framework conditions, definitions, etc., to create a secure and networked data infrastructure. On the one hand, this should promote innovation and strengthen Europe in the international context, while at the same time meeting the highest standards of digital sovereignty.
DIO supports the Gaia-X project. As a member of the Management Board of the Austrian Gaia-X Hub and a member of the Gaia-X Association, we contribute on a national and international level to securing Europe’s data sovereignty and building its digital sovereignty in the long term.
We have already been driving the intelligent use of data for several years, for example through our participation in Data Market Austria or Innovation Action TRUSTS. We want to make uncomplicated access to the data market possible and promote innovation. It is therefore important to join forces and use shared knowledge and know-how to implement this initiative for Europe in the best possible way!
