Data Spaces für Supply Chains –
Anforderungen der Industrie

Your expertise is what counts!

Survey: “Data exchange in the supply chain – Data Space”.

This survey is part of the research project dataSChare and aims to identify and concretize industrial supply chain data spaces.

The core of this short survey is essentially to identify topics in which there is a need for data exchange beyond the direct customers/suppliers in the form of data spaces.

With your participation you make it possible to identify relevant topics for cross-company data exchange in industrial value networks!

Design a Data Space for Supply Chains with DIO, FH Upper Austria and KNOW Center

Data is ubiquitous, supporting companies and supply chains in their daily operations and providing key input for decisions at all levels of the enterprise. This data-driven decision-making basis is essential for industrial supply chains and the associated challenges of supply chain visibility and data exchange.

Tightly coordinated and optimized supply chain processes in a digitalized environment require a high degree of cross-company data exchange and visibility in the supply chain, ideally end-to-end, from consumer:inside to raw material. Industrial supply chain data spaces, which enable data-based decision support and provide all stakeholders with the available data, offer a possible support for this. This requires data spaces for data sharing. These should offer data providers and users the opportunity to exchange data in a defined topic area.

The main goal and the central innovation of dataSChare is the identification and concretization of industrial data spaces in the application area of supply chain management and the resulting development of two use cases. With the involvement of the clients, the relevant stakeholders and their needs for industrial supply chain data spaces are identified and elaborated.

Based on this, a detailed implementation concept will be developed together with stakeholders, which is based on an internationally established procedure for data space development. These will contribute significantly to the improvement of data exchange and visibility in supply chains and also enable further data-based innovations through industrial supply chain data spaces. In addition to domain-specific aspects in the application domain, the study also provides innovative aspects for the development of Data Spaces by generating numerous use case ideas in nationally and internationally practice-relevant topic areas.
